Marinemaster Silver Chronograph

Marinemaster Silver Chronograph

SKU: 671.17.41 M

“Brains on ice” has never been the motto of FORTIS, quite the opposite: FORTIS kept on driving the development of the Marinemaster Chronograph until it satisfied the highest of quality demands. That is how it came to pass that FORTIS supported a thirteen-man international research team at their Concordia research station during the “European Space Agency Programme” with the Marinemaster Chronograph.

The “brains on ice” programme helped research the effects of persistent darkness, cold and isolation on the human brain and the resulting behaviour. So that the researchers didn’t have to work and act completely without breaks in the Eastern Antarctic, the FORTIS Marinemaster served as a reliable time measurement instrument. Despite the ice-cold and extremely harsh conditions, the FORTIS Marinemaster was able to stand up to the test. With properties like its enormous pressure resistance of 20 bar, its robust housing, and its rough turning bezel, it is seemingly created for extreme situations. Of course, today the 671.17.41 Marinemaster Classic Chronograph also cuts an impressive figure away from the Antarctic.
